A South Yorkshire based family run pie company are celebrating after opening a new shop.
The Topping Pie Co in Doncaster moved into their new bigger premises within the Crystal Peaks Shopping Mall and Retail Park earlier this month.
Originally founded in 1961, Managing Director Roger Topping took over from his father in the late 1980’s and has since transformed the small family butchers into a multi award-winning food manufacturer. Now running the business alongside wife Maggie and their two sons Mark and Matthew, the family team have collected several prestigious industry accolades along the way, and their products are now available in high end retailers including Harrods and Selfridges, as well as in a number of independent deli and farm shops.
Despite their continued success the business has retained its traditional family roots, and the new larger premises will include a hot counter serving everything from their famous pies to quiches and cakes.
