The Wensleydale Creamery Launch New Seasonal Summer Menus

The Wensleydale Creamery have launched two new summer menus for the season ahead.

Championing seasonal and local produce alongside their award-winning range of cheese, the Creamery, based in Hawes, are offering 2 courses for £14.95 and 3 courses for £19.95 alongside outstanding views across the beautiful Yorkshire Dales.

The new menus, which champion a range of Yorkshire produce have been carefully curated by Head Chef, Jordan Tyson. Using the Creamery’s flagship range of handcrafted cheeses, the new dishes will give visitors a true taste of Yorkshire.

The summer menus feature a whole host of delicious dishes, including Bacon, Black Pudding & Wensleydale Blue Cheese Salad, Pan-Fried Sea Bass served with Mediterranean Vegetables and Roasted Sweet Potato and Salsa Verde, as well as scrumptious starters such as Roast Beetroot Bruschetta with Yorkshire Wensleydale & Cranberries Cheese, and Chicken and Oak Smoked Yorkshire Wensleydale Cheese Croquettes.

Also available are a range of sharing platters, including the Wensleydale Cheese & Charcuterie and the Wensleydale Creamery Cheese Sharing Board, which are perfect for sampling the artisan cheese range with friends.

Head Chef Jordan Tyson said: “We’re really excited to be launching the new menu and delighted to be able to shine a light on the fantastic Yorkshire produce available at the Creamery, and of course the range of delicious Yorkshire Wensleydale cheeses.  It’s been a pleasure to create some exciting new dishes and we hope to give our visitors an exceptional food experience at our restaurant which boasts a stunning panoramic view of the rolling Yorkshire Dales.” 

The Creamery’s handcrafted cheese also takes centre stage in the 1897 Coffee Shop this summer, where visitors can choose from three new menus: Ultimate Cheese on Toast, Griddled Cheese Toasties and Homemade Warm Cheese Scones. 

Jordan continues: “Following the popularity of our cheese on toast with visitors to The Creamery, we decided to create a full menu based around this iconic dish! Visitors will now be able to tuck into a range of delicious Ultimate Cheese on Toast varieties such as Wensleydale Blue on sourdough bread topped with sauteed mushrooms and served with Rosebud Preserves Red Onion & Port Chutney; Naturally Oaked Smoked Yorkshire Wensleydale on sourdough bread with grilled chicken and avocado salsa; and Kit Calvert Old-Style Wensleydale on bloomer bread with confit tomatoes and Spiced Apple Chutney.”

The range of Griddled Cheese Toasties features a host of tasty options including Yorkshire Cheddar Cheese with BBQ pulled pork and caramelised onions, whilst their innovative home-made scone menu includes Wensleydale BlueYorkshire Wensleydale & Apricots, and the classic Yorkshire Wensleydale and Double Gloucester cheese scone.
