For the first time this year the Balloon Tree Farmshop, the home of super fresh vegetables and an award winning cafe in Gate Helmsley nr York is running a Children’s Christmas Card Competition in support of our soldiers who are away from home at this time of year.
They are asking if children would like to design and make a card which will be sent to a soldier. There are two age groups in the competition to enter. The first will be up to and including eight years of age and the second from nine to twelve inclusive. The lucky winners of each age group will receive a £10 Balloon Tree voucher and a £5 Balloon Tree voucher will be given to the runner up in each age group. The judges will give due consideration to the ages of the young artists. Entries are only required to show the design for the front of the card which should fit within the dimensions of the standard Post Office letter of 240 x 165 mm Parents are being asked to place entries inside envelopes marked “Christmas Card” which should also carry their name, contact telephone number and age of the child.
All entries must be handed to the staff in the shop by Sunday 2nd December
