Tea & Tango at The Black Swan pairs the classic afternoon tea with the classic afternoon tea dance at their picturesque tea rooms in Helmsley.
Opened in 2007 by Marco Pierre White, the hotel’s quaint tearooms have become renowned for their award-winning afternoon teas and selection of more than twenty of the world’s finest teas.
Visitors are being encouraged to enter into the spirit of twentieth century nostalgia, with the eternally-popular ‘Tea Dance’, an occasion that enjoyed popularity particularly in war-time Britain, and is now enjoying a delightful resurgence.
A match made in heaven, the tearooms events calendar, features tea dances on selected Monday afternoons throughout the year, as well as a two-for-one offer on their delicious afternoon teas which is sure to brighten up Monday afternoons whatever the weather.
Tea and Tango events which include a light afternoon tea costs £15 per person and take place on 2pm – 5pm on 7th March, 6th June, 5th September, 5th December.
Compere for the dance events is professional dance teacher, Valerie Laws and the afternoon includes optional tuition and music.
