Wensleydale Creamery release Jubilee Cheese Box

The team at Wensleydale Creamery have launched a limited-edition treat box to celebrate the Queen’s Jubilee this summer.

The new Platinum Jubilee Box, which is available for a limited period only, contains all you’ll need to enjoy a celebratory afternoon tea along with the ultimate cheese tasting experience whether you’re hosting friends and family at home or joining in a street party.

Based at Hawes in the heart of the Yorkshire Dales, the Creamery handcraft a huge selection of award-winning and world-famous cheeses, made from and paired with, a number of locally sourced ingredients and products from artisan producers throughout the region.

Sandra Bell, Marketing Manager at Wensleydale Creamery, said: “As an artisan and much-loved British brand and respected cheesemaker, we wanted to launch this limited-edition cheese box filled with some of our most popular cheeses and accompaniments to help the nation celebrate Her Majesty’s 70th year on the throne in style!

“Available to order online for home delivery, our new box includes two of Wensleydale Creamery’s most iconic cheeses: the classic creamy and crumbly Yorkshire Wensleydale cheese and the ever-popular Yorkshire Wensleydale & Cranberries which is one of our best sellers.”

As well as the cheese, the Jubilee Box also includes a jar of Yorkshire Wensleydale Chutney made by Masham based Rosebud Preserves and oatcakes to accompany the classic combination.

To satisfy those with a sweet tooth this bank holiday, Cockett’s rich fruit cake, Chocolate Brownie Biscuits and Demerara Shortbread also feature along with classic Earl Grey teabags, all presented in a celebratory Cartwright & Butler Platinum Jubilee keepsake tin.

Steeped in heritage and provenance, the Creamery use traditional methods to handcraft cheese to time-honoured recipes, using milk from local farms, as well as innovating with the development of new cheese recipes.

Its signature handcrafted Wensleydale Cheese obtained Protected Geographical Indication (PGI) status in 2013, setting it apart from other Wensleydale cheeses that are produced outside of the designated area, elsewhere around the UK and giving consumers the confidence that the Yorkshire Wensleydale they are eating is the original, authentic, and high-quality cheese.

The special edition Jubilee box costs £45 and is available from the Wensleydale Creamery website with a pre-order service available and delivery in time for the celebrations.  For more information and to buy their award-winning range of products and hampers online visit www.wensleydale.co.uk
