Whittaker’s Distillery are set to release a limited-edition spirit to commemorate the King’s Coronation this May.
Summer Solstice Gin, a 42% ABV London dry gin, features fresh citrus notes, with a base of juniper, coriander and angelica root, gently overlaid with signature botanicals of fresh pink and white grapefruit and pomegranate for a long, lingering fruity finish.
The new gin has been let unfiltered to allow the oils to be released to maximise its taste and unique character when served.
Owner Toby Whittaker, who runs the award-winning distillery alongside wife Jane said: “We’re really excited to launch this special edition gin to mark such a historic occasion.
“Summer Solstice is light and fruity and perfect served with plain tonic to let the botanicals shine through, along with a slice of fresh pink grapefruit. It’s perfect for raising a glass to our new King”
Pre orders are now available through the Whittaker’s Distillery website www.whittakersgin.com with the gin available from 17th April, just in time so start planning your own Coronation party.
