Wicstun Distillery launch new tourist attraction

An East Yorkshire spirit producer have announced the opening of their new distillery in Market Weighton which will be open to the public for tours and tasting events.

Starting life as a lock down project in the family kitchen 3 years ago, Wicstun Distillery have grown out of their initial premises, which saw them create their range of delicious spirits in a garden shed, and move into their new premises in the East Yorkshire town after sales started to soar.

Founder and former Army Officer Jago Packer said: “We are excited to be able to invite people to visit our distillery and see how we make our spirits.

“We’ve had hundreds of people asking if they can come and visit the distillery, but unfortunately we had to disappoint them due to our lack of space in the shed. This has all changed with our new premises which give the space and the facilities to welcome guests.”

The distillery’s new premises are located on the outskirts of Market Weighton and will offer spirit enthusiast tours and tasting events giving visitors the opportunity to sample their range, meet the team and learn about the process of creating their range.
