Witness The Creation Of The World’s Most Expensive Yorkshire Pudding!

National Yorkshire Pudding Day is on Sunday 2nd February, and to celebrate the day of this signature Yorkshire dish, The Devonshire Arms Hotel, Bolton Abbey are hoping to create the World’s most expensive Yorkshire Pudding with the help of food guru, Elaine Lemm.

Head Chef at The Burlington, Adam Smith will use his expert knowledge of the most luxurious products on the market to help conjure up the expensive creation.

The Yorkshire Pudding will be made using the finest ingredients including a Beer-Fed Dexter Beef Fillet, Whole Black Perigord Truffle and even Gold Leaf!

On creating this money-can’t-buy masterpiece, Head Chef Adam Smith said: “This isn’t something that I do every day, but for the special occasion of Yorkshire Pudding Day I’ve decided to combine some of the best local products, like Beer-Fed Dexter Beef with one of my favourite and most luxurious ingredients, the Black Perigord truffle, which are at their peak this time of year.

The combination of textures and flavours creates the most sensational eating experience. It’s just a shame that it can’t be enjoyed more often”.

The county’s very own Yorkshire Pudding connoisseur and food writer, Elaine Lemm will be on hand to give her expert opinion on the taste sensation that Adam will present.

Native from Yorkshire, Elaine is the author of The Great Book Of Yorkshire Pudding and appeared on BBC’s The One Show in 2013 to share her top tips to create the best Yorkshire Pud, so will be looking for a truly spectacular feat!

On what she expects from this event, Elaine said: “I have seen and eaten Yorkshire Puddings in many guises, but never elevated to theses lofty heights. I have little doubt the humble Pudd will rise elegantly to the occasion!”

The World’s Most Expensive Yorkshire Pudding will be created on Thursday 30th January at The Devonshire Arms Hotel, Bolton Abbey and will be sampled by Elaine Lemm at 11.30am.
