York Chocolate Festival Returns for 2025

The York Chocolate Festival is set to return this month with the four-day event taking place between 16 – 20th April.

A delicious mix of chocolatiers, bakers, confectioners and everything in between will be on show for visitors at the festival market hosted in Parliament Street. Showcasing many local artisans, the market will also include a new Best of Yorkshire stand featuring several Yorkshire producers who have either won or been shortlisted for the Sustainability Award at the Deliciously Yorkshire Taste Awards.

Alongside the popular market, visitors can also enjoy a range of family friendly activities from Easter egg hunts to chocolate bar making classes, cookery demonstrations and tastings at various locations around the city.

Also returning for 2025 is experienced chocolatier and professionally trained chef Ashley McCarthy.  Owner of Ye Old Sun Inn at Colton near York and Fairfax Distillery, he will be showcasing his chocolate sculpturing skills and creating another extraordinary showpiece live during the festival.
