Yorkshire Businesses Win Big at Great Taste Awards

A host of Yorkshire food and drink businesses have been awarded prestigious gold stars at this year’s Great Taste Awards.

In total, 238 Yorkshire products received the industry accolades, presented by the Guild of Fine Food, after a process of rigorous judging over recent weeks.

Known as the Oscars of the food and drink world, the Great Taste Awards are recognised as a stamp of excellence throughout the industry.

More than 14,000 products were put through the competition’s rigorous blind judging process earlier this year, and among this year’s winners from Yorkshire were; Shepherds Purse Cheese who were awarded 3 stars for their Mrs Bell’s Blue, Rosalind Waugh from Rosalind’s Larder, for her Fig, Pear and Apple jam and Dark Woods Coffee Ltd who came away with an impressive 4 x 3 stars for their Arboretum, Colombia El Placer “Yellow Fruits”, Colombia Mikava 100% Red Bourbon Carbonic Maceration and Colombia El Placer 100% Pink Bourbon “IPA” Coffees, as well as a further 10 x 2 star and 5 x 1 star products.

Fellow Yorkshire Yorkshire businesses collecting stars for their products included Swaledale Butchers, Raisthorpe Manor Fine Foods, Yorkshire Wolds Apple Juice, Rounton Coffee, Charlie & Ivy’s, Rosebud Preserves, Herb Fed Poultry, Myth Drinks, Coffee Care, Cryer & Stott, Warrendale Wagyu, Soanes Poultry, Casa Espresso and many more.
