Yorkshire cracker firm celebrates tradition worldwide

A West Yorkshire food company is relying on its tried and trusted baking methods to help push its line of flame-baked crackers far beyond its Yorkshire roots.

RAKUSENS_CRACKERS_RANGE_3D_AD01Leeds-based Rakusen’s, who were originally a producer of primarily Jewish food products when it was founded over 100 years ago, have been busy exploring new markets while maintaining an already loyal customer base.

The firm, who have been producing crackers using the same traditional baking processes since 1900 with many of its products being made of only two ingredients; wholesome flour and fresh Yorkshire water, launched a special range of premium, flame-baked crackers designed specifically for the US market earlier this year. The ‘Bonn’s & Co.’ selection have now been successfully launched stateside and are also available in both Fortnum and Mason and Harrods in the UK.  Complete with packaging that features a number of bespoke illustrations of Yorkshire towns, the new designs are a nod to Rakusen’s commitment to maintaining their Yorkshire roots.

The heritage brand has also looked to broaden its horizons in the UK, having added a variety of new products to its core range of crackers, soups and margarines including Chocolate Snackers – crunchy mini crackers topped with rich dark chocolate – and a brand new line of delicious biscuits.

Available from a number of stockists nationwide, the Rakusen’s team will also be attending a range of food shows and events throughout the coming year including the Great Yorkshire Show in July.  For more information on their product range and where to buy visit rakusens.co.uk
