Northern Bl°c now available nationwide

A Leeds based ice cream company are celebrating after securing three of their flavours a spot in CO-OP stores.

Northern BlocNorthern Bl°c ice cream, founded by Dirk Mischendahl and Josh Lee will be available in over 80 CO-OP stores throughout central and northern England and sees the company’s first listing with a national retailer. A second launch, planned for spring 2017 will make their products available nationally across the stores.

The three flavours to be launched in store include Chocolate and Sea Salt, Hazelnut and Tonka Bean and Ginger Caramel and were all created using the company’s ethos of imagination, innovation, and great tasting natural ice cream with a twist.

Born out of a desire to create great tasting, high quality ice cream that is natural and free from artificial ingredients, demand for Northern Bl°c’s inventive flavours is rapidly expanding as they continue to win contracts with regional with stockists such as Bolton Abbey Estate, Yorkshire Sculpture Park, Leeds Grand Theatre and the West Yorkshire Playhouse.

Northern Bloc director Josh Lee says “We’re really excited and proud to have made it into the freezers at the CO-OP.  As a small supplier the listing is a huge opportunity for us. The CO-OP is a great local retailer that has strong food ethics like us and it’s also a part of local communities of which we are very much part of.”
