Yorkshire Meatball Co. nominated as a Great British

The Yorkshire Meatball Co. is celebrating after being nominated for a prestigious food award.

The Harrogate based family-run business, who produce a range of premium meatballs, have been shortlisted in the Best New British Product category at this year’s Great British Food Awards.

Launched in 2014, The Awards celebrate the country’s finest home-grown produce, as well as the hard-working people behind UK’s finest products and ingredients.

The Yorkshire Meatball Co. products will be trialled, tasted and tested by a panel of top ‘foodies’, including Masterchef’s John Torode, Rachel Allen, Val Warner and Nathan Outlaw, with each judge on the hunt to find the very best in British food and drink.

Co-owner of The Yorkshire Meatball Co. David Atkinson said, “It’s a real honour to have been shortlisted amongst such an amazing selection of new UK brands such as Manchester Gin and Booja Booja.

The National Awards also give the Great British public the chance to help decide which products tingle their taste buds the most, with their votes put towards the final award results.

David continued, “We are still very much a newbie in the food retail market, so we’re thrilled that the British public have welcomed our range into their homes and dinner tables and hope that the judges feel the same and can help us bring home the bacon – or in our case, meatballs!”

The Yorkshire Meatball Co. launched its range of premium meatballs only last year and are available to buy nationally in Morrisons and in selected Tesco and ASDA stores.
