Yorkshire Producers celebrate Great Taste Awards Success

A raft of Yorkshire food and drink producers are celebrating after being recognised in the prestigious Great Taste Awards 2017.

The Awards, organised by the Guild of Fine Food, are acknowledged as the benchmark for fine food and drink across the UK and are described as the ‘Oscars’ of the food world.

Some 12,366 products were entered into this year’s awards, with only 35% gaining one of their coveted ratings of one, two or three stars which allow the business to display a Great Taste logo on their product as a sign of quality and taste.

The coveted awards, which were announced last week, listed a number of familiar Yorkshire producers amongst the role call of winners as well as a selection of new names and faces who achieved the dizzy heights of Great Taste stars including:

The Golden Forks, or the top 50 products in this year’s awards will be announced at a celebration dinner at the Intercontinental Hotel on Park Lane, in London on the 4 September.
