Award-winning Yorkshire Tonics are expanding their range of mixers with the launch of Paradise.
The Yorkshire Wolds based company released the new addition to mark Yorkshire Day on 1st August and the new flavour will sit alongside their range of premium drink mixers.
Launched three years ago by the team at Raisthorpe Manor to complement their range of spirits, Yorkshire Tonics now produces an ever-growing range of flavours from their distillery in Thixendale.
Made with natural extracts of quassia and Mediterranean botanicals including Sicilian lemon and rosemary, the new mixer delivers a fresh, sharp flavour which is designed to be paired with a premium gin or vodka and was named after a field in front of the distillery which is known locally as Paradise.
Operations director Oliver Medforth said: “Paradise is a versatile mixer which can be paired with any premium gin or vodka or served simply with ice and a slice. We’ve seen demand grow for this type of tonic from pubs and bars and Paradise ticks the boxes when it comes to being fresh and strong and made here in Yorkshire.
“We’re all holidaying in the UK this year, but our Paradise flavour is reminiscent of a Mediterranean holiday and is designed to take you to your own piece of Paradise on your staycation!”
The new release comes at a busy time for the family run business who recently marked the return to normal trading after the lockdown period with the opening of a new store in the York Designer Outlet.
Selling their full range of locally produced, award-winning products and Yorkshire Tonics, the new shop will also stock a selected range of other spirits as well as a number of locally produced beers.
Oliver continues: “Our usual routes to market closed down completely during the pandemic so the past 16 months have seen us market our products via our website. We started at York Designer Outlet with a pop-up stall a number of years ago and consumer demand has encouraged us to expand into our own unit. Gin’s popularity continues to soar and we’re so pleased to be able to get back to face-to-face interactions with our customers.”
