Yorkshire’s first whisky distillery to host a whisky and chocolate pairing event

The team at Yorkshire’s first whisky distillery is teaming up with a Sheffield based artisan chocolate maker for second special event.

On 15th March, the Pot Still Coffee Shop at the Spirit of Yorkshire Distillery in Hunmanby will host a whisky and chocolate pairing evening with Joe Clark, Whisky Director at the Hunmanby distillery and Max Scotford, founder of Bullion Chocolate.

A repeat of last year’s sell-out tasting event, Spirit of Yorkshire’s Chrissie Queen who has organised the evening said: “Following the sellout success of our last whisky and chocolate event, we are celebrating the return of Max and Bullion Chocolate by breaking out a whole new flight of cask samples to try with their award-winning chocolate.

“Bullion’s meticulous approach to crafting single origin chocolate chimes instinctively with our own for making whisky from first principles. When a ‘field to bottle’ distillery and a ‘bean to bar’ chocolate maker collaborate on inspired pairings, it promises to be a great and unique evening hosted by two experts in their field.”

Tickets cost £20 for a flight of six drams, including some never seen before Spirit of Yorkshire cask samples, and chocolate samples to match. They are available from reception at Spirit of Yorkshire, over the phone by calling 01723 891758 or online at www.spiritofyorkshire.com

In addition to tasting and regular music events, visitors to Spirit of Yorkshire can enjoy guided tours of the Distillery and home-made refreshments from Pot Still Coffee Shop seven days a week, all year round.
