Malton Monthly Food Markets return for 2024

Malton Monthly Food Markets return for 2024

Yorkshire’s food capital is set to host the first of their popular monthly food markets for 2024.

The Malton Monthly Food Market will return on Saturday 9th March with specialist stalls, street food, music and bags of foodie fun.

Set against the magnificent backdrop of St Michael’s Church in the picturesque North Yorkshire town, the markets will then continue to run on the second Saturday of every month until November.

Popular with visitors from far and wide, the events are a show case of the region’s fantastic local food and drink, with stalls, demonstrations and street food serving an array of dishes and produce.

Alongside the regular markets, the town will also play host to some specialist, larger scale events throughout the year, including the Harvest Festival on 5th – 6th October and the Malton Christmas Festival on 7th – 8th December, which will both replace the regular monthly market.

Running from 9am – 3pm, entry is free, and visitors can also enjoy 2 hours free parking.

For those looking for a more personal food experience in the town, Visit Malton launched the tickets for their popular Food Tours for the 2024 season at the end of last year.

An opportunity for food lovers to immerse themselves in Malton’s rich foodie heritage, the tours will allow visitors to taste their way around the picturesque town, meeting a huge array of passionate, artisan producers, and taste some fantastic products.  Each is fully guided, and approximately 1 mile long with 10-12 stops along the way.
