Masons triumphs at the prestigious National Business Awards

Masons Yorkshire Gin are celebrating after scooping a prestigious national business award.

The family run firm based in Bedale North Yorkshire were awarded the ‘Special Recognition’ award at The National Family Business Awards earlier this month, which recognised their resilience after a truly challenging year which saw the distillery devastated by fire.

The awards have become the most sought-after accolade a family-owned business can take home with over 100 finalists from across the UK and Ireland going head to head across 10 categories at the event held earlier this month at Wembley Stadium.

Anita Brightley-Hodges, the Founder of the Awards, commented on Masons true resilience in the face of adversity following the devastating events that Masons had to endure. Anita gave great praise for that within 24 hours the team were sat around Karl and Cathy’s dining room table, working on their next move and managing to keep all staff fully employed, which received a standing ovation from the audience.

Founder of Masons Yorkshire Gin, Karl Mason said: “I’m thrilled and so proud of what we have achieved, after what has been a challenging year. Masons is a business built by its people and we wouldn’t have achieved where we are today, without every member of our team being resilient and driving Masons onwards and upwards and to get such as fantastic reception at the awards was truly humbling”.
