Get to know more about West Winds Yorkshire Tearoom…
Traditional Yorkshire tearooms with tea-garden
Tucked away in the stone-built village of Buckden in Upper Wharfedale at the heart of the Yorkshire Dales, the tearooms at West Winds offer a true taste of Yorkshire tradition. Our home-cooked specialities combine Yorkshire recipes with local, seasonal, organic and Fairtrade ingredients. West Winds is no ordinary tearoom – it’s the perfect place for eating out in the Yorkshire Dales, on special occasions or just as you’re passing by… Sit and day-dream in our tea-garden in summer or make the most of our log fire inside when it’s chilly.
People come to West Winds for lunch, afternoon tea or just a cup of coffee or tea with a slice of cake. Our cakes are very popular. They are all home-made here at West Winds and we specialise in old fashioned favourites like Yorkshire curd tart, ginger parkin and sticky brandy fruitcake served with a wedge of Traditional Wensleydale cheese. Some of the recipes go back over 100 years.
