The teams at Wold Top Brewery and Hunmanby-based Spirit of Yorkshire Distillery are celebrating after reaching the final of the Northern Powerhouse Export Awards in the Small and Micro Exporter categories respectively.
Kate Balchin, Director at the brewery and sister of the distillery’s Marketing Director, Jenni Ashwood, said: “Despite the challenges posed by post-Brexit trading, exports remain an important and growing part of both our businesses. We’re delighted to put our lovely part of Yorkshire on the export map by reaching the final of these prestigious awards.”
Organised by UMi, in association with the Department for Business and Trade, the Northern Powerhouse Export Awards aim to accelerate and inspire businesses of all shapes and sizes to do more and go further on their exporting journeys.
The winners will be announced on 28th June at Middlesborough Town Hall.
